Meryl Streep and Don Gummer Have Reportedly Been Separated for Six Years

Meryl Streep and her husband, Don Gummer, separated several years ago according to a new report.
The Devil Wears Prada star, 74, and the sculptor, 76, have been married for 45 years, but a representative for the Oscar winner has confirmed to Page Six that the two have been separated for years.
“Don Gummer and Meryl Streep have been separated for more than 6 years," the spokesperson told the publication, emphasizing their care for one another despite the news. "...while they will always care for each other, they have chosen lives apart,” the statement concluded.
Parade has reached out to Streep's reps for comment.
It may not come as a complete shock to fans, seeing as the couple hasn't been spotted together since 2018, when they posed on the red carpet at the Acadamy Awards. However, the actress appeared to still be wearing her wedding ring as recently as Oct. 20, photographed with a ring on her left hand at the Princesa de Asturias Awards in Asturias, Spain.
The pair welcomed four children throughout their relationship: their son, Henry, 43, is the eldest. All three of their daughters—Mamie, 40, Grace, 37, and Louisa, 30—have followed in their mother's footsteps.
Henry also shares two children with his wife, Tamryn Storm Hawker, while Mamie has two children with husban Mehar Sethi. Grace recently welcomed her first child with husband Mark Ronson.
The revelation comes not long after Jada Pinkett Smith made the same claims about her own relationship with Will Smith, stating that she and the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star had been living "completely separate lives" since 2016, though they'd been keeping up appearances in public.
