If you’re the type to gaze out of the window and daydream about unconquered trails, Merrell’s big deal on its best hiking boot might be more your speed.
Merrell’s Moab 3 men’s hiking boots are an enduring icon among hiking enthusiasts, and they’re currently one of the best Black Friday shoe deals on Amazon, discounted by as much as 53%. Typically $150, these boots are currently on sale for as low as $70. With Amazon shoe deals, prices vary by color and size, but most are still a well-discounted $90 or less. Of the 2,000-plus ratings, 78% are five stars, giving these shoes a 4.6-star average on Amazon. The previous model, the Moab 2, earned the same score after more than 13,000 ratings.

Hiking boots and trail running shoes have become increasingly popular in recent years, but hikers who prefer the stability and support of a traditional boot will likely appreciate the mid-ankle cut and grippy tread of Merrell’s Moab 3.
The Moab design—named after either the scenic Utah town or simply the acronym for “mother of all boots,” depending on who you ask—is used across several styles in Merrell’s larger collection of outdoor shoes, including a low-cut style and a Gore-Tex version. This boot is the mid-height version of the Moab 3, meaning the shaft comes up to the ankle. It includes one set of speed hooks for lacing them tight if desired. These boots are also waterproof and feature a Vibram rubber outsole, which is durable and grippy. Crucially, they’re designed to be very comfortable, with a footbed that contours to your arches, cushioning the right spots.
With the Moab 3 hiking boot, you get a very traditional hiking boot look and the performance of a traditional hiking boot, too.
