Mermaids, sea creatures to strut their stuff during Mermaid Parade in Coney Island

CONEY ISLAND, Brooklyn (PIX11) – Mermaids and sea creatures are preparing to strut their stuff during the iconic Mermaid Parade in Coney Island.

The uniquely New York event will return on Saturday, June 22. It kicks off at 1 p.m. on West 21st and Surf Avenue.

Artist, performer and historian Joe Coleman has been named “King Neptune,” while artist and photographer Whitney Ward is this year’s “Queen Mermaid.”
