The Memphis Grizzlies will have an additional national televised game after the NBA announced Tuesday that the Grizzlies' Feb. 28 game hosting the Los Angeles Lakers will now be shown on TNT.

The game will start at 6:30 p.m., 30 minutes earlier than initially planned, and also be shown on Bally Sports Southeast. The matchup will replace the Atlanta Hawks hosting the Washington Wizards after the Hawks fired coach Nate McMillan on Tuesday.

It's another sign of the Grizzlies being a popular team as they hold on to second place in the Western Conference. Memphis' previous matchup against the Lakers this season was televised on ESPN back on Jan. 20.

The Grizzlies lost that game 122-121 in Los Angeles, a game that also saw Fox Sports analyst Shannon Sharpe get into an argument with Dillon Brooks and had to be separated from the rest of the team.

The Grizzlies now have seven nationally televised games remaining on their schedule, starting with Thursday's game at the Philadelphia 76ers (6:30 p.m., TNT/Bally Sports Southeast). Their last one is March 13 against the Dallas Mavericks but the NBA also has the option to swap future games on to national television depending on importance and interest.
