Memed Lovers Pete Davidson and Kate Beckinsale Are Reportedly Over
Pete Davidson and Kate Beckinsale have reportedly called it quits, ending the roller-coaster ride we were all on together for the past several months as we watched these crazy kids try to make it in a cruel world. The whirlwind affair between the SNL comedian and actress started at Sundance, helping us ring in the new year and getting us through the hard winter months, then it peaked at a sports game memed ’round the world. But now it seems that the Internet’s favorite unlikely couple are each going their own way.
Page Six suggests that perhaps Davidson’s moving in with his mom in Staten Island had something to do with the relationship’s end, but we think it might have been simply the rapt attention that follows Davidson’s every move since it was digitally decided that he travels with a certain big energy. In late March, Beckinsale said in an interview, “I’m surprised by the interest. I’ve never been in this position before—never dated anybody who comes with their own bag of mischief. It’s all quite shocking and something to get used to. I think if you liked the person less, you would bow out of it. If that were the main thrust of the relationship, there would be a problem. But it’s not.”
