Melania Trump shares a sneak peek of White House holiday decorations

Melania Trump is getting into the holiday spirit.

This weekend the first lady took to her Instagram page to share a sneak peek of this year’s White House Christmas decorations.

“Volunteers are hard at work at the @WhiteHouse,” the post read. “Thank you to all who came all across our great nation to decorate the People’s House. Looking forward to view it tomorrow evening!”

The snapshots feature several volunteers diligently creating holiday decorations and affixing patriotic Christmas tree ribbons and classic red bulb ornaments to trees. According to Newsweek, the official switching on of the Christmas tree lights is set to take place on Dec. 5, though the public have yet to see this year’s full array of decorations.

However, it’s clear that the White House’s holiday festivities have been in the works for some time. In fact, the first lady kicked off her plans for Christmas decor all the way back in July.

Last week, FLOTUS welcomed this year’s Christmas tree to the White House via a horse-drawn carriage. The towering Douglas fir, which comes from Mahatongo Valley Farms in Pitman, Pa., will be put on display in the famous Blue Room of the White House.
