Melania Trump doesn’t have much time left as First Lady, but there’s still the holiday season to get through ahead of Joe Biden’s inauguration on January 20.

As has been tradition, Trump revealed her decorations for the White House this Christmas post-Thanksgiving. In the past Trump has been criticized for her seasonal aesthetic choices. Remember those eerie red Christmas trees in 2018 that people compared to outfits from The Handmaid’s Tale?

The 2020 decor looks a lot more traditional, as evidenced by images on the official @FLOTUS Instagram account. “This weekend, volunteers from all across America have come to decorate the @WhiteHouse for the holiday season. Thank you for your time, enthusiasm & devotion to make sure the spirit of peace & joy fill the historic rooms & halls of the People’s House! #WHChristmas,” Trump wrote in a caption.

“During this special time of the year, I am delighted to share ‘America the Beautiful’ and pay tribute to the majesty of our great Nation. Together, we celebrate this land we are all proud to call home. #WHChristmas,” she wrote alongside of video showing off her choices.

You can see patriotic touches, like the USA ornament above, and even some nods to Melania Trump’s “Be Best” campaign as you scroll through the photos.

While the actual decorations might be a little more criticism-proof than those of past years, the First Lady’s leaked comments about the holiday tradition from earlier this fall continue to haunt her. People on social media roasted her during the official arrival of this year’s White House Christmas tree, and they continue to do so after she unveiled her decorations.

Tapes of conversations between Trump and her former friend and advisor, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, became public in October. “I’m working…my ass off on the Christmas stuff, that you know. Who gives a fuck about the Christmas stuff and decorations? But I need to do it, right?” Trump is heard saying on them. “Okay, and then I do it and I say that I’m working on Christmas and planning for the Christmas.”

Social media users are coming for Trump once again.

President Donald Trump has not yet commented on his wife’s work, though he’s continued to tweet false information about the election.
