On March 20, former US president Donald Trump and Melania Trump’s son, Barron Trump, turned 18 years old. Soon, he’ll be off to college, making a life of his own: he’ll go on adventures, navigate life as a Trump, and potentially move out quite soon. And psychologists believe if Barron moves out, Melania is definitely going to take it the hardest out of anyone.

Neuropsychologist and director of Comprehend the Mind, Dr. Sanam Hafeez recently spoke to Nicki Swift about how Barron turning 18 can be quite heartbreaking for multiple reasons.

“Barron leaving home is more than just a son going away. It is a son becoming possibly subject to ridicule or harm, as well as [Melania’s] loneliness and lack of emotional support that she may have derived from [him],” Hafeez said.

Hafeez talked to the outlet that how it’s difficult for any parent to see their kids leave the nest.
“In the healthiest of parent-child relationships, turning 18, growing into a young man, and leaving home, is a huge deal for most mothers,” he said, adding that “Melania may have even leaned on Barron in tumultuous times or busied herself with his life.”

The Blast claimed that Melania’s main focus has always been her son Barron, and we’re sure it’s hard dealing with the concept of him leaving their home. “Melania’s main job is taking care of Barron, and I think it’s possible that she will follow him wherever he goes to school. Barron is shy and reserved, and she has been a good mother to him all of these years,” the close source said. So we’re sure it’ll be a big transition for both of them.

For those who don’t know, Melania and Donald wed in 2005, and on March 20, 2006, Melania gave birth to their son, Barron William Trump.

Soon after she celebrated her first Mother’s Day, she did a super-rare interview with Palm Beach Post about how much she adores motherhood. “The love. It’s unconditional love. [Being a new mother is] wonderful. Every mother knows this. It’s a miracle almost, I could say, that two people can create. It’s very, very special,” she said. “You can watch the baby, every move he makes. It’s just amazing. A great, great experience. I was very lucky. I had a beautiful pregnancy. Everyone is healthy and happy.”
