Melania Trump Is Hard to Find

The Washington Post spoke to several renowned paparazzi about first lady Melania Trump and how difficult it is to find her in New York City - let alone in Washington. Many said they’d stopped trying to get her picture because she’s become so good at avoiding the public eye and it wasn’t worth their time to even try.

“She’s the great white whale,” paparazzo Miles Diggs told the paper while he and his partner were in Soho looking for Emma Watson recently. They were confident they’d be able to nab Watson - Trump, not so much. “When it comes to getting people, I don’t miss,” Diggs explained. “But Melania has just been so elusive.”

The hordes of photographers that used to wait outside Barron Trump’s school and around the streets of Trump Tower waiting for her to come and go are all but gone.

It seems as though paparazzi have a better chance at snapping her picture at one of her few and far between public appearances - but even then, they’re often ushered away as Trump begins to speak. The Post named her recent International Women’s Day White House brunch as an example: Just as she took the podium, all press was ordered to leave the room by White House aides.

Trump’s reclusiveness only fuels the rumors she’s miserable in both her marriage and her new role as America’s most visible woman, though those close to the couple (as well as unnamed sources) insist the couple's relationship and Trump herself are both doing great.
