Meghan Trainor’s Lack of Bougie Taste Is Inspiring
In case you haven’t heard, Meghan Trainor has a new album out and it’s called Treat Myself. Obviously, that means we had to put her to the test, the...Expensive Taste Test. Heh. And unlike other stars who were sure they’d nail this game, our humble contestant admitted that she 100 percent does not, in any way, have expensive taste. Like, she proudly says her preferred wine is the $10 bottle from CVS, so we don’t blame her for the rough start!!
Thankfully, the singer was quick to pick up some momentum the moment she channeled her inner influencer energy and tested some gorg red lipsticks. And, just being honest, I would geek out over quality $5 makeup too. But then, the seemingly-easy-but-not-really test came with the diamond ring round (ahem, $10 versus $6,200). You’d think coming from a family of jewelers and having a literal diamond ring of her own on her finger would be a dead giveaway?? Anyway, if you ever find yourself wearing knockoff jewelry and feeling bad about it, just know that Meghan Trainor would maybe, possibly, not know the difference. That’s good enough for us, right?
PSA: We’ve discovered quite a few fun (potentially TMI?) facts from this ETT. First, Meghan Trainor can’t put on rings or actually wipe with her super long nails claws, which, fair, but isn’t the lewk worth it? Second, she has a bucket full of keychains that she collects while traveling around the world—super casual—and we’re legit dying to see it.
