On Feb. 8, our favorite little redheaded toddler turned three and his celebrity parents were not going to miss an opportunity to post about their cutie pie.
“Riley. My little buddy. My best friend. My light,” Sabara began the caption on his heart-melting collection of photos and videos. “Thank you for choosing me to be your dad.
You make life better and brighter everyday.”
The opening shot is a priceless photo of Sabara, Trainor, Riley, and his 7-month-old little brother Barry. It only got cuter from there. With videos of Riley excited to go see his mom in a commercial, one of him telling the singer how much he loves her, throwback photos of Sabara with baby Riley, and a video of Riley chasing his dad down the sidewalk.
“And most importantly,” the Spy Kids actor concluded, “thank you to @meghantrainor for being the best mom each and every second to our THREE YEAR OLD 🥹🥹🥹”

Not to be outdone, Trainor also posted a touching carousel filled with family portraits, shots of Riley and Barry bonding, and the most adorable photo of Riley with his iconic blue glasses and sweet face smooshed up against a magnifying glass. It’s safe to say we won’t get over these photos any time soon. (Read: Ever.)

Birthday Plans
Last month, Trainor revealed her refreshingly normal plans for Riley’s birthday. And we use the word “plans” loosely. Because who has the time or energy? Not the Dear Future Mama author!
“Every time I want to try to plan something, I’m always like, ‘Eh, germs and people, and I don’t want to … He’s not going to remember this one yet,’” Trainor told PEOPLE.
What he will remember and has been very particular about is the cake. And who can blame him? The cake is the star of the show! Well, aside from the birthday boy.
“He really wants it to be a car,” Trainor said. “And it has to be specific. It has to be our white car that we have. So I am literally hiring this amazing cake creator to make our Rivian car into a cake.”
“I was like, ‘What about Lightning McQueen car?’ And he was like, ‘No, white car.'”
Oh boy! The Trainor-Sabara fam is about to have an opinionated “three-nager” on their hands. But with adorable requests like that and the sweetest little face, how could you say no? One Rivian car cake coming right up!
