  • The View co-host Meghan McCain sent kind words to a fan who reached out on Twitter to share that she was undergoing chemotherapy.

  • Meghan's father, Senator John McCain, died last year after being diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.

A Meghan McCain fan received a special note on Twitter from The View panelist this week. When an online follower reached out to let the conservative co-host know that she had one round of chemotherapy left, Meghan responded with a supportive message.

"Thank you for sharing your journey and these kind words. Sending you so much strength as you go through chemo treatment. You are incredibly brave and there are so many out there who support you and are with you. Merry Christmas Judy. Much love," Meghan wrote.

The daytime TV star's powerful tweet was met with a positive reaction online. One fan replied that Meghan's message had made their day. Another Twitter user noted that Meghan was a "class act."

Meghan lost her father, Senator John McCain, in August of 2018, more than a year after he was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive type of cancer that can occur in the brain or spinal cord.

In a moving tribute Meghan posted shortly after her father's death, she wrote, "All that I am is thanks to him. Now that he is gone, the task of my lifetime is to live up to his example, his expectations, and his love."

By using her platform to raise awareness about the disease, Meghan appears to be doing just that. When July 17th was declared Glioblastoma Awareness Day in honor of her late father, Meghan and her mother, Cindy, appeared on The View to discuss their advocacy.

"It's a really horrific cancer that we are all, obviously, very committed to fighting," Meghan said.
