Meghan Markle’s Staff Reveals She Uses a Ton of Britishisms at Home With Prince Harry

Anyone else spend the day talking in a British accent after watching The Crown for too long? Same. You’re welcome, friends and family! But, like, at least those of us who are in the habit of picking up Britishisms have something in common with Meghan Markle.

According to a new report from The Sun, Meghan uses a bunch of British phrases due to her time living in England with Prince Harry, and her staff finds it “amusing.”

“Meghan was the all-American girl before she met Harry, but since living in the UK, she’s adopted certain phrases,” a source says. “Her staff think it’s amusing to listen to an American celebrity using Britishisms. She’s often heard saying, ‘Oh, dahling,’ to people at home. They do have a giggle about it and sometimes they do impressions of her but only in a lighthearted way. It’s funny to them.”

Oh, and apparently, the staff is obsessed with Harry’s accent, which, yes, aren’t we all.

“The staff there love to hear Harry’s accent too. They adore him,” the source says. “He’s very well-mannered and staff were shocked by how down to earth he is as a royal. He just wants to live a more normal life now in California and enjoy family time. No doubt he’ll start to pick up Americanisms soon and will be asking staff to take out the trash.”

As a reminder, Meghan and Harry recently ditched Los Angeles and bought a home in Santa Barbara, where they plan to live permanently and raise their adorable son, Archie.
