You better believe the outfits for Meghan Markle's tour of Australia and New Zealand were picked weeks - if not months - in advance, but today, Meghan made an impromptu outfit change and rocked a piece of DIY pasta jewelry. Like, the kind you made in first grade that your mother still has in a box somewhere.

You might be thinking "Why would someone with access to the clothes she has access to wear something like that?" And that is a valid question, but the story behind the necklace is actually really sweet.

According to a reporter at News.com.au, a boy named Gavin made the pasta necklace for Meghan. He "woke up with a cough" (okay Gavin, sure) and had to skip school. He quickly got to work on making a sign and jewelry, hoping he'd meet her.

When Harry and Meghan were on their walkabout, Gavin was in the front row to meet the duchess and give her the necklace, which she put on right away. I mean, he *did* take the time to paint the pasta gold, so it went particularly well with her outfit.

So yeah, who could really blame this kid for skipping school to deliver a handmade piece of jewelry to one of the most famous women in the world? Not me.
