Meghan Markle Wears Prince Harry's Puffer Coat in New Zealand

With celebs like Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner rocking puffer coats well before the start of winter, it appears the iconic winter jacket will be a mainstay for both the fashionable and practical as temperatures continue to drop. The latest to sport the oversized jacket trend is none other than Meghan Markle. The newly-minted royal and mom-to-be borrowed a chic black iteration from Prince Harry during the last week of their 16-day South Pacific tour.

According to Refinery29, the Duchess of Sussex swiped the jacket from her husband during their visits to the Abel Tasman National Park and Redwoods Treewalk in Rotorua, New Zealand on Wednesday, October 31. She made it her own by rolling up the sleeves to her elbows and unzipping it slightly at the collar, a move that undoubtedly made her on-tour stylist proud. Paired with a piece-y low ponytail, simple black pants and black suede loafers, the resulting look was equal parts effortless and unbelievably sleek.

Even Prince Harry seems to agree that Meghan wore it better — he captured this stunning photo of her sporting the jacket at the Redwoods Treewalk. She might have been surrounded by towering trees, but it’s Meghan who stole the show, pictured caressing her belly as the sun peeks through canopies of leaves. Not to be dramatic, but the pic looks like it came straight out of a campaign for REI, and fans in the comments seem to agree. “Prince Harry has some photography skills there,” one added.
