Meghan Markle Wears Nonie Pink Trench Coat Dress to Nelson Mandela Exhibit

Meghan Markle is branching out from her go-to boatneck silhouette, choosing instead to wear a coat as a dress while visiting the Nelson Mandela Centenary exhibition at Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall on July 17. She paired matching blush accessories with her similarly-toned look, grabbing a clutch and pointed-toe pumps to match. So, not only is she rocking that outerwear-as-RTW look like a pro, but also dipping her toe into the monochromatic trend that has been all over the runways for a few seasons now.

This is not the first time Meghan has chosen a silhouette like this one, as she wore a Prada top and skirt to the Queen's Young Leaders Awards Ceremony, with the top looking more like a double-breasted jacket than anything else. Unlike her previous look, however, this latest coatdress is — actually — a coat, not a dress. And, might we add, that we’re kind of obsessed with the fact that Meghan took it upon herself to totally re-invent its style.

Meghan Markle's sleeveless trench is from Nonie and can be purchased here in either blush or black (for those city slickers…). The Duchess actually shopped her own closet for the look: People reports she purchased it before moved to London in 2017. If you want to copy Meghan's exact look, it’s going to cost you as the coat retails for around $820. That said, as it’s meant to be outerwear, it’s practically two looks for the price of one! Psst, get her look for less with this option.
