Meghan Markle stepped out for a new solo engagement at Brinsworth House, a nursing home and residential care facility in Twickenham, less than hour outside of London. For the solo event, the Duchess of Sussex wore a gray wool coat by Canadian brand Soia & Kyo with a midi length floral dress by Brock Collection, a coveted brand by the fashion set. For accessories, she went simple with a gray suede pumps and a fold-over clutch.

The frock, from Brock Collection's Resort 2019 range, stays true to the brand's romantic aesthetic with a blossomy print, ruched cap sleeves, and a square neckline.

Brinsworth House is supported by the Royal Variety Charity, which aids people who've worked in the entertainment industry and need assistance due to old age, illness, or hard times, according to Kensington Palace. Today's engagement is fitting work for Meghan, who built a career as an actress before marrying Prince Harry and joining the royal family in May. The charity was established in 1908 with the Queen as its sole patron, according to its official website.

Meghan was previously involved in the organization, as she and Prince Harry attended the annual Royal Variety Performance last month. She wore a black sequined halter top and floor-length skirt by Safiyaa for the occasion.

This marks the first public event for Meghan since her surprise appearance at the British Fashion Awards last week. The Duchess of Sussex sneakily attended the ceremony to present the award for Womenswear Designer of the Year, which she bestowed to Clare Waight Keller of Givenchy, who custom-made her wedding dress.

Aside from the awards show cameo, Meghan has been hustling behind the scenes. Last week, she and Prince Harry attended a private board meeting for the Queen's Commonwealth Trust. The day after, she had an under-the-radar meeting with the director of the National Theatre, Rufus Norris. Like her work with the Royal Variety Charity, the theater meeting was a nod to Meghan's thespian roots.
