The Invictus Games marked the first public appearance we've seen from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in quite some time. And in addition to the attention and support the royal couple brought to one of their chief philanthropic endeavors, the event was also an opportunity for the Duchess of Sussex to dress for an audience. And dress she did—with the jewels to match.

For her speech at the opening ceremony on Saturday evening, she chose to wear an iconic Cartier Juste Un Clou necklace (a piece originally designed by Aldo Cipullo for the jewelry house, as was the Cartier Love bracelet). She paired the gold necklace with its nail-inspired shape with a Khaite bodysuit, simple black slacks, and swiss dot Manolo Blahnik shoes. Her hair was pulled back for the occasion, to emphasize both the off-the-shoulder neckline of the bodysuit, and her choice in jewelry.

Markle was also wearing a Cartier Love bracelet throughout the weekend. And, as is usually the case with the Duchess of Sussex, her jewelry choices were layered and thoughtfully chosen to reflect sentimentality.

She often wears pieces that belonged to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, and this year's Invictus Games were no exception. This time around, the Duchess of Sussex was spotted wearing the gold Cartier Tank Americaine timepiece that is thought to have once belonged to Diana. At a reception before the start of the Games, she paired the gold watch with a white pantsuit, and a pair of diamond earrings, which appear to be the Cartier Galanterie de Cartier earrings she wore for her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry.
