To celebrate International Women's Day, Meghan Markle and the Archewell Foundation visited Los Angeles-based Harvest Home, an organization dedicated to supporting homeless pregnant women.

Per Archewell, "This valuable organization helps provide housing, mental well-being support, and classes to expectant mothers who have faced tremendous challenges including domestic violence, substance use and homelessness. Since being founded in 1985, Harvest Home has supported over 600 pregnant women and their children."

The project fits right in with the work the Duchess of Sussex has been doing to advocate for women's rights and support women and families. Meghan and Archewell celebrated the women of Harvest Home by creating a pop-up baby boutique, filled with items they could use for their children, and hosted lunch. They also made a donation to the organization. After, Meghan was spotted at a vegan Mexican restaurant in West Hollywood.

"Happy International Women’s day to all of you! Whether donating your time, funds, or helping a woman in your community, let’s all celebrate the women in our lives today and every day!" Archewell wrote on their website. On Instagram, Harvest Home also marked IWD, writing, "Celebrating all the women that make up Harvest Home. From our incredible Harvest Home mamas to all our amazing alumnae and our lovely staff, volunteers and donors who work to make it all possible! 🤍 Here’s to all the women who give of themselves each day, who strive to do better and make the world a better place for others. Together, we rise!"
