Royal in royal blue!

The Duchess of Sussex hosted her first Kensington Palace event on Wednesday to launch the cookbook she created with the Grenfell Tower Fire survivors, which will raise money so that the Hubb Community Kitchen can operate full time. Meghan was joined by mother Doria Ragland and Prince Harry, where they welcomed women from the center.

For the occasion, Meghan stunned in a gorgeous royal blue coat by Canadian designers Smythe and a black Tuxe turtleneck. Footage from the event shows Meghan braving the winds after stepping out of the car, and having some trouble with her Misha Nonoo skirt.

"Together is more than a cookbook. This is a tale of friendship, and a story of togetherness," Meghan wrote in the foreword of the book, which includes 50 recipes from the survivors. "It is a homage to the power of cooking as a community, and the recipes that allow us to connect, share and look forward."

The duchess has reportedly made a number of private visits to the kitchen to spend time with the women.

“I had just recently moved to London and I felt so immediately embraced by the women of the kitchen,” said the royal in a speech at the event. “Your warmth and your kindness, and also to be in this city and see in this one small room how multicultural it was."
