Meghan Markle played surprise Instagram photographer for a young couple while on a hike with her husband Prince Harry and Suits co-star Abigail Spencer in Victoria on Canada's Vancouver Island this Wednesday. The Duchess of Sussex has been in Canada with her husband Prince Harry; the two have spent some of their break from royal duties in the country.

People and CTV News Vancouver Island spoke with the young couple, Iliya Pavlovic and Asymina Kantorowicz, who didn't even realize it was Meghan taking the photo of them initially.

"We took a little picnic out and we were finishing up and trying to get some selfies with the nice backdrop when a woman came up to us and asked if we wanted her to take our photo,” Kantorowicz told People. That woman was Meghan. The group had two dogs and approached the couple.

"She starts asking if we want her to take a photo for us," Kantorowicz said. "We said sure. I didn't see who she was at that time."

Kantorowicz did recognize Spencer from Suits, she told CTV News. “I’m a Suits fan and I first noticed Abigail and then I looked up and realized it was Meghan taking the photo," she said. "Then I looked back at the group and realized Prince Harry was there too!”

When she realized that yes, it was really Meghan in front of her, "I froze up. I actually couldn’t believe who it was," she told People. "Then I looked over to the side and that’s when I realized Prince Harry was standing there. I kept looking back and forth like, 'Is this actually happening?'"

Meghan was "super friendly" to the couple, who accepted her offer to take their photo.

"In that moment the only thing I could think to say, 'There's only so much that selfie sticks can do,'" Kantorowicz told both outlets. "She laughed and responded with something like, 'We'll have to do better,' and then Harry said, 'No pressure.' She handed the phone back and said, 'Happy New Year!' and we said, 'Thanks and happy New Year!' Then we kind of turned to each other laughed and said, 'Did that just happen?' I still can't believe it. It feels like a dream."
