Will Meghan Markle Still Visit Countries with Zika Virus Now That She's Pregnant?
Kensington Palace just announced that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are expecting their first royal baby, which, YAY!
The happy news came just hours after the couple touched down in Australia for their very long and very busy royal tour-and naturally, people are wondering whether they'll still go through with plans to visit Fiji and Tonga-both of which have Zika virus.
However, per royal reporter Rebecca English, a spokesman for Meghan and Harry confirms that there's no change in plans for the couple's visit-despite FCO advice that pregnant women shouldn't travel to the area-and that the couple got medical advice before the trip and decided it was safe to proceed with their travels.
A spokesman said there is no change to their programme in Fiji and Tonga next week despite FCO advice that pregnant women should not travel to the region because of its moderate zika risk.

That said, royal reporter Omid Scobie confirms Meghan's opting out of an "early morning Fiji War Memorial engagement in Suva or the Colo-i-Suva forest site that Harry is doing solo."
For those asking, Duchess Meghan did receive medical advice before deciding to continue with travel to Fiji and Tonga. It’s worth noting that she will not be at the early morning Fiji War Memorial engagement in Suva or the Colo-i-Suva forest site that Harry is doing solo.
