Meghan Markle Steps Out in Santa Barbara in New Balance Sneakers

Meghan Markle was all smiles as she was spotted in Santa Barbara earlier this week, unbothered by the latest royal drama sparked by a new royal book.

Dressed in an all black outfit, wearing a sweater and leggings, the Duchess of Sussex was spotted in a new pair of New Balance 327 sneakers (in bone and grey). Meghan also appeared to use a Bottega Veneta phone case, and wore her old pair of Krewe "Gravier" sunglasses.

Notably, Meghan was spotted wearing a green baseball cap, which online sleuths identified as from a charity tennis tournament held earlier this year by the Alliance for Children's Rights.

The George Zajfen Tournament Tennis for Tots was held in September to fundraise for the organization, to "ensure that children and young adults in foster care receive the legal advocacy and social services they need to thrive." Meghan's close friend, Kelly McKee Zajfen, is the co-founder of the Alliance of Moms, and her 9-year-old son, George, died last summer in July 2022. Zajfen wrote after the tournament, which was held at Los Angeles Tennis Club, that her son's "legacy lives on not only in the memories we all hold onto but also in the positive impact we created through this tournament."

In the wake of George's death, Meghan and Harry supported the Zajfen family, donating to a GoFundMe that was set up in his honor. Earlier this year, Kelly took to Instagram to write, "As Mother’s Day approaches, I can’t help but think of my own #commUNITY of Motherhood. I instantly think of you Meg. How incredibly nurturing and warm and open you are. What an incredible friend and mother. I’m truly in awe of you and I am so grateful you are part of my #CommUNITYofmotherhood."

She continued, "You are always the first to say yes and support those you love. You are a fierce advocate for those who are in need. Thank you for joining this year’s campaign to support LA’s expectant and parenting foster youth, which helps provide critical services, education, resources and advocacy so they can build a better future for themselves and their families."
