Meghan Markle Steps Out in All-Black Look for Her New York City Baby Shower
Meghan Markle is having a baby shower in New York City with her longtime friends.
The Duchess chose a toned-down style for the event.
Just this morning, news broke that Meghan Markle's New York City girls' trip was no casual visit-it had actually been planned for months, so that Markle could have a baby shower in the city with her close friends.
Early this afternoon, Meghan was spotted en route to the shower, which is said to be taking place at a hotel on the Upper East Side. The Duchess was wearing a short-sleeved black jacket over black skinny jeans. She paired the monochrome look with a nude tote bag and similarly colored stilettos, and finished it off with a pair of sunglasses. (Meghan isn't known to sport sunnies during her official appearances, but as she's trying to keep a low profile in New York, they're a sensible choice.)
When Meghan arrives at the baby shower-which was organized by her close friend and stylist, Jessica Mulroney-she'll be greeted by a group of her longtime friends. "Today's baby shower is a reunion of sorts for Meghan," royal reporter Omid Scobie revealed on Good Morning America. "[Guests] include best pal Jessica Mulroney, actress and close pal Abigail Spencer has flown in and Priyanka Chopra is supposed to be flying in especially for this from London Fashion Week... It'll be a celebration with her closest friends." According to a later tweet from Scobie, designer Misha Nonoo is also on the guest list.
Details are scarce about what activities Mulroney has planned for Meghan's big day, but given her fashion-focused career, it's likely to be a stylish event.
