Meghan Markle and Serena Williams Met Up for Dinner in New York City
Meghan Markle's 5-day New York City trip comes to an end tomorrow, but the Duchess of Sussex spent her final night in Manhattan reconnecting with one last famous friend: Serena Williams. Williams and Meghan were photographed with her other friends Jessica Mulroney and Markus Anderson getting dinner at Ralph Lauren's The Polo Bar on the Upper East Side.
Meghan wore her navy Victoria Beckham overcoat that she debuted during her Christmas morning outing with the royal family along with a scarf, skinny jeans and knee-high boots. She had her hair down and accessorized with a black bag.
Williams, meanwhile, wore glasses, a black coat with tartan-embellished sleeves, black pants, and black combat boots.
And Mulroney was in a grey plaid coat:
Earlier in the day, Meghan had lunch with her former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer. Then the Duchess of Sussex attended her baby shower with 15 closest friends. Meghan had on a different outfit then: black skinny jeans and a Courrèges Haute Couture black trapeze coat from William Vintage.
Meghan has been in New York City since last Friday. The Duchess of Sussex was seen at French patisserie Ladurée on Saturday with friends and out shopping at Bonpoint, a high-end children's store near the Soho bakery. A source told Harper's Bazaar this weekend that Meghan had planned her personal New York trip for months.
“The trip is a lovely chance to catch up with friends and spend time in a city she loves,” a source close to the duchess told the outlet. "This will be the last time a lot of them will see Meg until after the baby is born so it’s nice to share precious moments."
