Meghan Markle celebrated her 37th birthday over a month ago (August 4), but she hasn't forgotten the thoughtful fans who greeted her. Kensington Palace has sent out a card to wellwishers, on behalf of the Duchess of Sussex, royal commentator Omid Scobie tweeted. The note features a sweet photo of Markle sharing a laugh with a crowd during her trip to Ireland in July.

The note inside reads, according to Hello!:

"The Duchess of Sussex is so touched you took the trouble to write as you did on the occasion of her 37th birthday. It really was most thoughtful of you and Her Royal Highness sends you her heartfelt thanks and best wishes."

The royal family also showered the new royal with heartfelt messages on her big day. Buckingham Palace posted a photo of the Duchess and the Queen on Instagram and wrote, "Happy Birthday to HRH The Duchess of Sussex! #HappyBirthdayHRH."

Clarence House, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla's official residence, shared a picture of the couple with Meghan with the caption, "‪Wishing HRH The Duchess of Sussex a very Happy Birthday 🎂‬."

And Kensington Palace thanked everyone for the birthday greetings.

Meghan actually spent her actual birthday attending the wedding of Prince Harry's closer friend Charlie van Straubenzee and Daisy Jenks. (The Duke of Sussex served as best man.) The Duchess dressed in a chic (and surprisingly affordable) pleated Club Monaco dress with a Philip Treacy hat and Aquazzura pumps.

The Duke and Duchess are no strangers to sending thank you notes. After their royal wedding in May, they sent out letters to those who congratulated them on the big day. It reads:

"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been overwhelmed by all the incredibly kind cards and letters they have received on the occasion of their Wedding, and are so touched that you took the trouble to write as you did. It really was most thoughtful of you and greatly appreciated by Their Royal Highnesses who send you their very best wishes."
