  • Meghan Markle has returned to Canada to be with her son, Archie.

  • Prince Harry is currently in England dealing with royal drama.

The royal family are reportedly in the midst of major talks following Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s bombshell decision to step back as senior royals—but it looks like Meghan has flown back to Canada amid the drama. Which, understandable!

A source tells E! News that Meghan has returned to Canada to be with Archie after just three days in the United Kingdom, while Prince Harry remains in England to deal with the fallout from the couple’s announcement.

E! News reports that Meghan and Harry left Archie in Canada with Meghan’s close friend Jessica Mulroney and a nanny and returned to England just long enough to attend their first royal engagement of 2020 and deliver the news that they’d be stepping back from their senior royal duties.

Meghan is expected to return to the UK with Archie in a few days, according to royal reporter Chris Ship:

In their announcement, Meghan and Harry revealed they’d like to become financially independent, saying, “We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen. It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment. We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages.”
