Meghan Markle Reportedly Disguises Herself in a Baseball Cap in Public

Simple, yet genius.

Being a celebrity isn't always easy, so we'd have to imagine that being a royal poses even more challenges — especially when you factor in all of the rules that come with the job. And given that members of the royal family have achieved both celeb and regal status, it's probably hard to venture into the outside world without being recognized by dozens of adoring fans.

Luckily, Meghan Markle has reportedly developed a hack that allows her to take part in "regular" activities without attracting too much attention. And while she probably has a ton of elaborate options at her disposal (her royal wardrobe, after all, already costs more than four years at Harvard), the newly minted Duchess of Sussex has a surprisingly simple — and therefore, genius — trick up her sleeve.

A source told People that Meghan "goes incognito" with the help of a baseball cap anytime she "ventures out to Pilates or to get her hair done."

However, Meghan's public outings are reportedly few and far between. "The only other place she has visited regularly is Whole Foods, which is little more than five minutes away from Kensington Palace," the source added in conversation with People. "That way she can quickly sneak in and out without anyone noticing it’s her."

Some people even think they've managed to spot Meghan out and about, complete with her signature disguise. I suppose anything is possible, although there are a lot of people out there — and a lot of baseball caps, to boot.

Disguise or not, it remains true that even celebrities (and royal celebrities) are deserving of privacy, and Meghan is no exception. After all, stars are people too, and we're all entitled to a trip to the hair salon (or Whole Foods) in peace.
