Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Trip to British Columbia Concludes with a Glamorous Banquet

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's trip to British Columbia concluded last night, with a banquet held at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

For the occasion, the Sussexes looked glamorous—Harry wore a black suit, and Meghan opted for a lovely off-the-shoulder gown by Canadian brand Greta Constantine, designed by Kirk Pickersgill. She accessorized with a Logan Hollowell necklace, and wore Manolo Blahnik heels.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were led into the hall by representatives from the Tsleil-Waututh Nation, who sang and drummed in traditional regalia. At the start of the evening, Johnna Sparrow—an Indigenous advisor for the Invictus Games, and sister of Chief Wayne Sparrow of the Musqueam Nation—gave the couple woven blankets for Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet from the Salish people. Johnna told the Sussexes that their children could "wrap themselves in the blankets when they miss their parents and be reminded of the good work they are doing."

After, drummers and dancers from Tsleil-Waututh Nation performed, and there were speeches by Mike Bourgeois, an Invictus Games alumni; British Columbia Premier David Ebyan; and Canada's Minister of Sport and Physical Activity Carla Qualtrough.

Prince Harry later took the stage, after Michael Bublé sang a cover of "My Way" about the Invictus Games. "When I am with the Invictus community surrounded by so many brave men and women who have served their countries with distinction, I feel humbled and at home," Harry said. "Your passion, commitment, and spirit has built a platform on which British Columbia will develop our first ever winter-hybrid Games, including first-time sports sit-skiing, sit-snowboarding, curling, biathlon and of course, skeleton."

He continued, "As we look forward to next year’s games, we are reminded of the progress we have made, the challenges we have overcome, and the victories we have celebrated. Our journey has been marked by courage, determination, and an unwavering commitment to shared values of service, sacrifice, and community."

The banquet marks the end of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's three day trip to Canada, which celebrated one year until the 2025 Invictus Games.
