Prince Charles gets to blow out the candles on the birthday cake, but we’re the ones who really get to celebrate on his special day thanks to this newly released photo of baby Archie, courtesy of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

The heartwarming picture, posted to the official @SussexRoyal Instagram account, features Prince Charles, Prince Harry, and baby Archie at the infant’s christening in July. Both Charles and Harry lovingly gaze at little Archie, who dons a stunning baptismal gown steeped in royal history. (The gown is a nod to Queen Victoria, whose daughter’s baptismal gown was passed down for 163 years, explains Town and Country.)

“Happy birthday to His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales — Sir, Pa, Grandpa,” the couple captioned the sweet black-and-white snapshot. They also added a cake emoji because they’re not just any royals, they’re cool royals.

This inside look into Archie’s life is quite monumental for diehard fans of the Royal family. Though they’re always in the spotlight, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have done a good job at shielding their six-month-old son from the public eye, save for a few obligatory public-facing events and a careful selection of social media photos.

Not to be upstaged, Prince William and Kate Middleton also shared a photo of Grandpa Charles with their youngest son, Prince Louis. Hopefully, Prince George and Princess Charlotte do not log online today, lest they feel completely glossed over. Sorry, kiddos!

The birthday messages were likely appreciated since Prince Charles couldn’t celebrate with his grandkids in person. Instead, the heir to the royal throne welcomed his 71st year in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, where dozens of schoolchildren presented him with a delicious-looking chocolate cake.

Hopefully, Prince Charles will relish all of the photos of baby Archie he gets since it doesn’t seem like he’ll get much face-time with the little guy this holiday season. Meghan and Prince Harry are likely visiting the U.S. for Thanksgiving and have opted out of the Queen’s traditional Christmas celebration at Sandringham.
