Meghan Markle and Prince Harry spent their Halloween night like most parents: taking their children out trick-or-treating. A photo surfaced on X, formerly known as Twitter, early this morning of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex walking with 4-year-old Archie and 2-year-old Lili in Montecito, California. Meghan held Lili, who was in a pink costume, while Harry held Archie’s hand. Archie appeared to be dressed up like a skeleton, per Hello!. Meghan and Harry weren’t in costumes themselves.

Meghan wore jeans, a black cap, and a black top. Harry was in a gray long sleeved top, jeans, and a black baseball cap. He and Archie carried orange pumpkin buckets for candy.

This isn’t the first time Meghan and Harry have been seen out with their family enjoying an American holiday. They were also spotted during Fourth of July.

Meghan spoke about Lili’s first Halloween during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres in 2021. They had a night in that year, Meghan recalled. “We were home and we saw you guys [DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi], which was great, but we wanted to do something fun for the kids, and then the kids were just not into it at all. Archie was a dinosaur for maybe five minutes.”

“Not even five minutes,” DeGeneres said.

“It was not even five minutes,” Meghan agreed.

“Finally Harry talked him into putting the head on, but Lili was a skunk,” DeGeneres revealed.

“She was a little skunk,” Meghan confirmed.

“It was so cute,” DeGeneres said.

“I know, like Flower from Bambi,” Meghan said.
