Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Want to Find a House With a “Granny Annex” for Meghan’s Mom, Doria Ragland

  • Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly still looking for a house in Los Angeles amid the coronavirus pandemic.

  • They want a place that can also accommodate Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland.

Even though Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reportedly haven’t seen Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, since they moved to Los Angeles (of course, because of the coronavirus pandemic), it looks like they intend to spend a lot of time with her once self-isolation is over.

According to a report from The Sun, Meghan and Harry are still searching for a permanent home in California and want a house that can accommodate Doria as well. A source shares:

“Once quarantine and lockdown are over, Harry and Meghan will be moving into their new pad—and they want Doria to be included in these plans. She is hugely independent, though, and doesn’t want to be in their space. She will have her own granny annex.”

Not only are Meghan and Doria super close, but apparently, Meg and Harry are also looking for help taking care of their son, Archie. The source adds:

“The family have been joking that Meghan and Harry will now have a babysitter on tap, but the reality is Meghan doesn’t trust many people and Doria is her rock and her biggest champion. Harry has also grown close to her, so believe it or not, he was receptive to the idea of living with his mother-in-law.”

All that said, their big plans will have to wait until after quarantine is over, as Meghan and Harry “won’t be moving house[s] anytime soon,” which is obviously understandable. It’s not clear if Doria would be moving in with Meg and Harry or if she’d just have her own space at the house, but either way, it sounds like a pretty cute setup!
