Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Used to Have 'All-Night Soirees' at Kensington Palace
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry moved out of Kensington Palace's Nottingham Cottage and into Frogmore Cottage in Windsor back in April. But already, they are dearly missed by their neighbor, French ambassador Jean-Pierre Jouyet, according to The Sun. Jouyet revealed that the two were pretty fun in their days as a new couple living on the palace grounds and threw a lot of parties.
Jouyet could see the front of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's former home from the backyard of his Kensington Palace Gardens residence. And he apparently lamented about their absence during a party last week, The Sun's Dan Wootton reported. Jouyet said that “it is so quiet here now that Harry and Meghan have left. They used to have fireworks, soirees that would go all night, friends and family coming and going. Now all we see and hear is the helicopters landing. It's boring now.”
Meghan and Harry, meanwhile, are pretty happy with the move and the privacy it has given them and their newborn son, Archie. A source close to the couple told ELLE.com back in April that the Duke and Duchess “couldn’t be more excited about starting their life together with their new baby and are keen that their child will be able to enjoy their privacy away from the goldfish bowl."
And a source told People last week that Frogmore Cottage has been a great home for the family of three. “Their home is so cute and warm,” the source said. “The energy of the space is so much better [than Kensington Palace]. It’s a total fresh start.”
