Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Unfollow Everyone on Instagram

From Harper's BAZAAR

  • Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have unfollowed all of their "Following" accounts on Instagram to make room to feature a new set of profiles for the month of August.

  • The couple asked their followers to recommend people or organizations to follow that are a "force for change." They'll reveal their 15 picks on Monday.

  • Meghan and Harry are known to follow a different set of accounts every month to highlight a different cause.

Each month, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex follow a different group of accounts on Instagram to highlight a different theme, whether it be mental health awareness, LGBTQ+ rights, or the environment. However, for the month of August, they need a little help choosing who to follow next.

The couple announced on their account, @SussexRoyal, that they want their followers to suggest people or organizations to follow that are a "Force for Change," echoing the theme of the British Vogue September issue Duchess Meghan guest-edited.

"Over the next few days please add your suggestions into the comments section: someone you look up to, the organization doing amazing work that we should all be following, an account that inspires you to be and do better (or that simply makes you feel good), or the handle that brims with optimism for a brighter tomorrow," the couple explained in a post they shared last night.

They'll reveal the 15 accounts they've chosen on Monday, as they "spend the month of August acknowledging the Forces for Change in all of our lives."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who just launched their official Instagram in April, began their monthly streak of supporting various causes on the app in May. Although they raised eyebrows when they unfollowed big accounts like the Duke and Duchess of Cambrige's page and the royal family's official profile, the Sussexes explained, "Each month we will honor this same concept and change the accounts we solely follow based on a different theme or cause."

In between supporting charities and activists on their page, the couple also documents public engagements and sweet personal occasions like Mother's Day, Father's Day, their wedding anniversary, the queen's birthday, and the birth of their son, Archie. You can bet there are some cute baby photos in the mix too.
