Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Are Suing for Invasion of Privacy Over Archie Pics

Remember May? Truly, me neither, but it was around the time that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry moved into Tyler Perry's Los Angeles mansion with their son, Archie. And while the home has a lot of security, Meghan and Harry had to deal with "unimaginable” levels of intrusion due to flying drones hovering just 20 feet above their property. Even worse, photos of Archie were taken.

“They see these drones coming in at them, and they guess that they are being operated by photographers, but they can’t just assume that,” a source told he Daily Beast at the time. “Meghan received racist death threats at the time of her wedding, so the terror threat is very real for them. But aside from that, imagine if you were in their shoes facing that, how that would feel? To have drones buzzing around 20 feet above your head when you are trying to play with your son?”

The couple reported five “drone-related incidents” to the LAPD in May, and now they are reportedly taking legal action. E! News obtained documents filed by the couple's attorney Michael Kump, who said they learned a photographer was "shopping photographs of their 14-month-old son, Archie" allegedly taken in Malibu.

"Archie has not been in public, let alone in Malibu, since the family arrived here," Kump said. "It is clear from a description of the photographs being shopped that they were taken of activities in the backyard of the residence, unbeknownst to [Meghan and Harry]."

Harry and Meghan are seeking damages as well as rights to the photos, and they are asking the court's permission to find out who the photographer is through subpoenas. "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are filing this lawsuit to protect their young son's right to privacy in their home without intrusion by photographers," Kump told E! News, "and to uncover and stop those who seek to profit from these illegal actions."
