How Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Are Spending Their Time Waiting for the Royal Baby

The countdown is on...

If it feels like the only things anyone is talking about online these days are Game of Thrones and the royal baby, you wouldn't be totally wrong. Many of us are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's firstborn with the same level of anticipation as finding out who will end up on the Iron Throne.

Speculation has been wild about Baby Sussex, with people reaching for explanations about why Markle hasn't given birth yet, instead of the logical conclusion that even royals can't control nature. (Her due date was reportedly in late April or early May.) Buckingham Palace has issued statements that confirm that the baby has not been born and that the media will be alerted when the Markle goes into labor. But you know who's not concerned with all the nonsense? The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Basically, they're just chilling at Frogmore Cottage. “They’re in their own bubble at the moment,” a friend of the couple told Harper's Bazaar. “Meg is with the most important people in her life … she’s calm.” The friend adds that Markle is "calm and content. She's got this."

It's been previously reported that the duchess's mom, Doria Ragland, is already in Windsor for the birth of her first grandchild. And the couple have welcomed some royal visitors as well, including the queen, Kate Middleton, and Prince William. A source told Entertainment Tonight that the Sussexes are enjoying this "love-filled time" and that Markle has felt "so much compassion from her new family."

Another ET source says that Markle is "looking forward to the birth." It's good to hear that all the noise from the internet and the outside world hasn't fazed the couple, especially Markle—after all, it must be wild to have something so personal be part of the global news cycle.
