Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Have Reportedly Pushed Back Their U.S. Visit

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reportedly delayed their North American tour, originally scheduled for early 2019, due to Meghan's pregnancy.

A bit of sad news for anyone who had already made plans to catch a glimpse of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on U.S. soil next spring: They have reportedly decided to push back their planned North American tour until after Markle's pregnancy.

According to TMZ, Markle and Prince Harry are delaying their trip — which was originally scheduled for spring 2019 — to the fall. Markle is reportedly due with her first child sometime in the spring, and, according to a source, she wants some time to "adjust to motherhood" before heading back onto the tour circuit.

Of course, this is more than fair, especially given the intense travel schedule Markle is currently taking on. She and Prince Harry are currently on a royal tour of Australia and other surrounding Commonwealth nations, and though she's already attended a number of exciting events, the duchess recently had to cut back on some of her scheduling to take care of herself and the future royal baby. "After a busy program, the Duke and Duchess have decided to cut back the Duchess's schedule slightly for the next couple of days, ahead of the final week and a half of the tour," the Daily Mirror's Russel Myers tweeted Saturday.

Despite dialing it back a bit, Markle has still been present at plenty of events over the past few days, including a reception for children hosted by Australia's prime minister, as well as the inaugural Invictus Games sailing competition, where Prince Harry was greeted with massive bear hugs from an excited fan.

On Sunday (October 21), Prince Harry confirmed that all was well for his pregnant bride, despite her taking the morning off. He told fans she was "resting back at home" because "being pregnant takes its toll." And, as many moms know, so does having a newborn. Here's hoping we see the royal couple on U.S. soil sometime next year — ideally with a royal baby in tow.
