Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Have Reportedly Befriended Adele Since Moving to L.A.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reportedly have a new bestie in Los Angeles: none other than fellow Brit Adele.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex famously relocated to Markle’s hometown of Los Angeles after spending a few months in Canada as they transitioned out of life as senior working royals. According to the Daily Mirror, the house that Markle and Prince Harry are staying in during quarantine is just a few minutes away from Adele’s, and she’s been giving them tips about the neighborhood.
“Adele’s just five minutes from Harry and Meghan, and they’ve swapped notes on the area. Adele loves the neighborhood. She’s also recommended her 4-year-old son Angelo’s preschool and discreet places to take Archie where they won’t be bombarded by fans,” a source told the paper. But the singer is reportedly not just sharing advice on Beverly Hills. “All three of them get on so well. Meghan admires how Adele has managed to keep out of the spotlight despite being a huge star. And she is a big fan of her album 21, which she says helped her through her divorce from [first husband, Trevor] Engelson,” the source continued. The Mirror reports Adele, Markle, and Prince Harry “first bonded while visiting a community kitchen for Grenfell Tower victims in December 2018.” Markle went on to work with victims of that fire on one of her very first royal projects, Together: Our Community Cookbook. The Sussexes have continued their philanthropic efforts since moving to L.A. They’ve been spotted delivering meals to critically ill patients with the charity Project Angel Food.
Meanwhile, Adele recently celebrated her birthday during quarantine. “Thank you for the birthday love,” she wrote on Instagram in the post, above. “I hope you’re all staying safe and sane during this crazy time. I’d like to thank all of our first responders and essential workers who are keeping us safe while risking their lives! You are truly our angels ♥️ 2020 okay bye thanks x.”
