How Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Are Quietly Celebrating Their Second Wedding Anniversary

From ELLE

Two years ago, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were married with pomp and circumstance at Windsor Castle in England. Today, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are far from their wedding venue and former Frogmore Cottage home. The couple is celebrating their second wedding anniversary privately in their Los Angeles home, with their 1-year-old son Archie. Meghan and Harry have been quarantining in the California city.

Harper's Bazaar reports that the couple will take the day off of work to enjoy a "lovely" family moment with Archie.

"The day will simply be quality time with one another and as a family," a source close to the couple told the outlet. "They're not going to be doing any work and made sure they have no meetings or calls in the diary."

Last year, the couple shared a post on their then-active royal Instagram. Harry and Meghan currently have no active social media accounts, so there won't be any tribute post directly from them today.

Friends of the Duke and Duchess previously told ELLE.com that the couple has been spending a "happy and love-filled time" in quarantine with Archie. They've also been busy with plans for their new non-profit Archewell, which will launch later this year. A source close to the couple told ELLE.com that Meghan and Harry are driven by a “hope to create something seriously impactful.”

Meghan and Harry celebrated their first wedding anniversary at Frogmore Cottage, less than two weeks after Meghan gave birth to their son. The Duke and Duchess shared a video featuring new photos from their ceremony on their then-active royal Instagram. They also spent a special message to fans: "Thank you for all of the love and support from so many of you around the world. Each of you made this day even more meaningful."
