Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Pick Their Wedding Cake

You won't be able to guess what it is.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding is coming up in less than two months, and now, they're putting the finishing touches on it. The latest piece of information to be revealed: what kind of cake they're serving. Just like the wedding and the couple itself, it's a break from tradition.

Rather than fruit cake, which is usually served at British weddings (including Prince William and Kate Middleton's), Harry and Meghan's lucky guests will feast on a lemon elderflower cake created by pastry chef Claire Ptak, owner of London's Violet Bakery, according to the official Kensington Palace Twitter account. The cake "will incorporate the bright flavors of spring," with buttercream and fresh flowers on top, according to a tweet by Kensington Palace.

"Kinda excited to announce this one!! Violet has been chosen to make the wedding cake for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle," Ptak wrote on Instagram. "They both share so many of the same values regarding food provenance, sustainability, seasonality and of course, flavor!"

This isn't the only non-traditional aspect of the upcoming royal wedding. Meghan reportedly wants her mother to walk her down the aisle. And unlike most royal weddings (and most weddings in general, for that matter), whose guests only include the couple's family and friends, Harry and Meghan are inviting 2,640 random members of the British public to celebrate their big day with them. It sounds like they'll have a delicious dessert to enjoy.
