Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Left the Sweetest Comment on Princess Charlotte's Birthday Instagram
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry no longer follow Kate Middleton and Prince William on Instagram, but they made it even more clear yesterday that the digital unfollow is not a sign of any drama. (The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had originally written that they are deliberately only following mental health organizations this month in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month.) The couple left a sweet Instagram comment on one of Kate and William's birthday portrait Instagrams that they shared of their daughter Princess Charlotte ahead of her fourth birthday today.
In the comment, the couple wrote from their SussexRoyal Instagram, "Happy Birthday, Charlotte! 🎂🎈 Lots of love, H and M xo."
Meghan and Harry also commented similarly on one of the birthday portraits Kate and William shared of Prince Louis in April. Louis, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's youngest son, turned one. "Happy Birthday Louis!" they wrote from their SussexRoyal handle. "Sending lots of love from both of us 🎂🎈 xo."
The Instagram comment comes as the world awaits the birth of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's first child. As of press time, the Palace has not given any indication Meghan has given birth or gone into labor.
Royal reporter Rebecca English explained that she was under the belief that the Palace will likely announce Meghan is in labor, so the baby truly isn't here yet. "Am assured that if they are able to tell us she has gone into labour, then they will," she wrote. There had been some mystery as to how much the couple would share after Buckingham Palace announced they would be keeping the birth private but didn't specify to what lengths.
No. Am assured that if they are able to tell us she has gone into labour, then they will. I think the misunderstanding about how much is being kept private came as a result of the initial, slightly badly-worded, press release.
