While many have theorized that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could try to make amends with the British royal family in 2024, one expert thinks the way back into the family’s good graces relies on one factor. Well, technically two factors: the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Journalist and royal expert Kinsey Schofield spoke with GB News host Patrick Christys on GB News, via MSN, about how Meghan and Harry might “’reconnect with the royal family this year.” During this discussion, Christys asked: “Surely they can use the grandkids as a way back in or Harry at least can? If Harry did want a way back in he could use the excuse that despite his personal beef with King Charles, he wants his children to have a relationship with their grandfather, it would be the perfect way back wouldn’t it?”

To which Schofield responded by saying, “Well, don’t forget, according to reports, when Prince Harry received the phone call that he was being evicted from Frogmore Cottage, he said to his father, ‘don’t you want to see your grandkids anymore?’” She remarked, adding, “So you are exactly right if there is a way in, Harry is already thinking about it.”

Now, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard musings about their children being the key to the royal feud ending. Back in early Dec 2023, sources said that “it pains [King Charles III] that he’s yet to meet Lilibet. He would love so much to spend time with Archie as well as Harry, whether it’s one-on-one or with Meghan there too.” They theorized too, that Archie and Lilibet would be the main factor in this.

Now, that’s a lot of pressure to put on a four-year-old and a two-year-old. They don’t understand the intricacies of the long-standing royal feud, and we’re sure that Harry and Meghan don’t want to sit them down to that conversation any time soon.

As many loyal royal fans know, Harry and Meghan started dating in 2016 and by April 2018, they were married in a beautiful royal ceremony. They share two children together named Archie, born in May 2019, and Lilibet Diana, born in June 2021.
