Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Just Made Their First Public Appearance of 2020

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are back to work in London after a six-week break over the holidays.

The royal couple stopped by Canada House in London, in part to thank the staff "for the warm Canadian hospitality and support they received during their recent stay.” The Sussexes spent at least part of their time away from royal duties on Vancouver Island, where they were spotted jogging and hiking. They even stopped to help a couple that was trying to take a photo with a selfie stick. The duke and duchess also released a very adorable new photo of Archie with the gorgeous Canadian scenery in the background.

Fans gathered outside Canada House to greet Markle and Prince Harry. Clearly, so many people are excited to have them back in the public eye—us included.

Markle looked stunning, as usual, in brown tones, including a camel coat that What Meghan Wore has identified as Stella McCartney.

According to royal reporter Omid Scobie, while at Canada House the royals will meet with high commissioner Janice Charette, visit the Canada Gallery, view a special exhibition by Indigenous Canadian artist Skawennati, and meet members of the team who "work in a range of sectors supporting the partnership between Canada and the U.K."

Canada is a special place for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. Along with being the spot they chose for their recent getaway from the spotlight, Markle lived in Toronto for many years while filming Suits. It's also where they made their first official public appearance as a couple during the Invictus Games in 2017. Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau welcomed them on their most recent trip with a tweet that said, "Prince Harry, Meghan, and Archie, we’re all wishing you a quiet and blessed stay in Canada. You’re among friends, and always welcome here."

This engagement at Canada House wasn't even the duke and duchess's first stop of the day. "Harry and Meghan are back on duty today and heading to Canada House after a private visit to the Hubb Community Kitchen," Hello's Emily Nash reports. "The women there, from the Grenfell community, wrote Together: Our Community Kitchen with the duchess. She wanted to 'check in' with them after her break!"

Welcome back, Team Sussex—we've missed you!
