From Town & Country

News broke just a couple of weeks ago that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had officially begun to create their own royal household. Previously, they had shared an office in Kensington Palace with Prince William and Kate Middleton.

When Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace announced that a new royal household would be formed for Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, sources said that there were no firm plans in place for the Sussexes to launch new social media channels; however, it seems that they've since reversed that decision.

On Instagram, Kensington Palace's official account announced that it would solely focus on the work of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and that a new account had been created just for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. "Welcome to Instagram, @SussexRoyal!" the caption reads.

The @SussexRoyal account currently has only one post: a slideshow that begins with a monochrome graphic reading "Official Instagram for their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Sussex." The logo just above the text is the couple's official conjugal monogram. Currently, the monogram also serves as the account's profile photo.

What follows in the slideshow is a series of images of Harry, Meghan, and people they've met on their travels. It concludes with a black and white photo of the two of them, taken from behind, waving to a crowd.

"Welcome to our official Instagram," the caption reads. "We look forward to sharing the work that drives us, the causes we support, important announcements, and the opportunity to shine a light on key issues. We thank you for your support, and welcome you to @sussexroyal." The message is signed of with "Harry & Meghan."

Currently, the Sussexes still share their Twitter account with the Cambridges. T&C will continue to update if the situation changes.
