Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Got Caught in the Rain, and People Are Calling It a Miracle

Unless you happen to be Rihanna (in which case, congratulations), you probably side step rainstorms whenever possible.

But Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are rare people who don't seem to mind a little drizzle. In fact, they looked like they came straight out of a deleted scene from The Notebook on the latest leg of their Australian royal visit.

We rest our case. The romcom-worthy photos, while obviously cute, are the least of the spoils from the storm. When the rain fell, it caught the locals of the area off guard, because the farmland Meghan and Harry visited has been struggling with droughts.

“Our region has been hit by a terrible drought so we are very pleased that you can bring that terrible English weather here with you,” the mayor of the region joked before welcoming Harry, according to People.

Prince Harry himself then laughed that the rain was a "gift," but recognized that the years-long drought wasn't going to be fixed with one simple shower.

“You have just lived through two years of drought and despite the recent welcome rain it is going to take a lot more and a long time to recover,” Harry said. “It must be hard not to lose hope when you endure so many dry months end on end knowing that you are powerless to do anything about it.”
