All the Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Easter Eggs in ‘A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby’
Netflix just dropped A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby, which means it’s time to dissect every single moment of this incredible film. Everyone knows the best part about this franchise is the very obvious nods to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and this movie is no exception.
Aside from the very obvious Easter egg that an American girl is having a baby with a European royal, there are some subtle Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Easter eggs that you probably missed.
Both royal couples want their babies to have a normal life.
Early in the film, Amber and Richard talk about Amber’s childhood, like how she hung out with normal kids and went to a normal school. Richard says he’ll have to redefine his version of normal, and that basically sounds like what Meghan and Harry did IRL. They didn’t even give Archie a royal title, that’s how normal they want him to be.
“The Sussexes are not using a title for their son in the hope that he will live a more normal life,” one royal reporter said earlier this year.
They explored the use of the hypno-birthing technique.
In the movie, Amber and Richard discuss the use of hypno birthing with their doctor, and Meghan reportedly also used that technique. It’s the practice of “special breathing, relaxation, visualization, meditative practice, attention to nutrition, and positive body toning” to help make birth easier.
The sex of each baby was supposed to be a secret...
Both the fictional couple and the IRL couple wanted to keep the sex of their baby a secret. Unfortunately, the sex of Meghan and Harry’s bb was low-key spoiled when people showed up to Meghan’s baby shower with gifts wrapped in blue. Oops!
...until the baby shower.
Basically, British tradition dictates that people don’t have huge baby showers. Meghan decided she wanted one anyway, so she did the damn thing. Queen Amber has a baby shower in the movie. A very OTT one.
King Richard and Queen Amber use yoga to relax.
Harry and Meghan do too! They even reportedly have a yoga room in their house. How ~zen~ of them.
Queen Amber rocked a coordinating coat/beret combo, like Meghan Markle did once.

Both couples received NYC-themed onesies for their kids.
Meghan and Harry received a Yankees onesie when the team went to play a game in the UK.
And Queen Amber receives this onesie for her daughter in the movie.
The king delivered the news of the baby’s arrival himself.
When Elleri came, King Richard goes out to tell his friends and family about her arrival. Harry kinda did the same thing IRL.
There was a royal photo call right after the birth.
