Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Have a Date Night at Soho House Austin

It was a Texas date night for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle last night!

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted grabbing dinner at Soho House Austin last night, ahead of Meghan's scheduled appearance at South by Southwest (SXSW) today. "They were happy and in great spirits," a fellow diner told People. "Harry was very animated throughout the dinner. They were super low key and seemed happy to be around the upbeat vibes at the lively venue."

The members-only Soho House holds significance for the Sussexes: the two had their first date at a location of the club in July 2016. Soho House, Prince Harry writes in his memoir, Spare, was Meghan's "headquarters whenever she came to London." For their first date, "She'd reserved us a table in a quiet room. No one else would be around."

When they met for the first time, Harry recalls, "She talked about London. She was here all the time, she said. Sometimes she just left her luggage at Soho House for weeks. They stored it without question. The people there were like family." (One of Meghan's closest friends is Markus Anderson, who works as a consultant for Soho House; Anderson was recently spotted with the Sussexes in Vancouver, when they attended a hockey game in November.)

This week marks Prince Harry's second time to Austin in just a few months; he was also in the Texas city in October to attend the F1 Grand Prix race.

Later today, Meghan will take part in a keynote panel for SXSW titled "Breaking Barriers, Shaping Narratives: How Women Lead On and Off the Screen." She'll be joined by Katie Couric, Brooke Shields, Nancy Wang Yuen, and Errin Haines.
