Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Attend the Royal Ascot on Their One-Month Anniversary

Happy anniversary to the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped out—yet again—for an official public appearance on Tuesday, June 19, which coincides with their one-month wedding anniversary.

Markle fittingly wore white for the festive occasion, stepping out in a crisp button-down shirt dress by Givenchy, the same designer behind her wedding dress. She paired her look with a black belt from the French fashion house, as well as a white-and-black hat by Philip Treacy (a royal favorite, even for Kitty Spencer).

It’s an extra special outing for the pair, who married on May 19, 2018, at Windsor Castle. For their latest festive public appearance, Prince Harry sported a name tag while Markle opted to go without the addition. The event takes place annually at Ascot Racecourse in Ascot. There is a rather strict dress code, requiring men to wear day suits and hats.

The newlyweds joined Prince Edward and Princess Sophie for their royal carriage procession before the group landed with Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall Camilla. The four were seen laughing and chatting together at one point. Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie also attended the outdoor event and rode in the same carriage as Prince Charles and Camila.

Harry and Meghan’s appearance was made just one day after Markle’s father, Thomas Markle, spoke out about the wedding debacle for the first time since he broke the news to his daughter that he was no longer able to walk her down the aisle. “They were disappointed,” he told Good Morning Britain. “Meghan cried… and they both said, ‘Take care of yourself, we’re really worried about you’.”
