Meghan Markle Presented *This* Designer with the Coveted Best Womenswear Designer Award

In her short time as the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle has swiftly become the most influential royal fashionista in the world. So who better to present the British Fashion Awards accolade for British Womenswear Designer of the Year?

The 36-year-old duchess made a surprise appearance at the awards ceremony held at London’s Royal Albert Hall last night to bestow Givenchy artistic director Clare Waight Keller with the distinction.

Markle and Waight Keller developed a relationship 11 months ago when they began discussing the duchess’s royal wedding gown. Givenchy and Waight Keller have since become a go-to for the pregnant royal, with the fashion house seeing massive surges in sales thanks to the Markle effect.

Waight Keller became the first female artistic director of Givenchy in 2017 and has clearly been crushing it ever since.

Keep it up, Clare.
