Today female empowerment platform Markers Women will screen a conversation between Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle and the activist Gloria Steinem.

A teaser from the conversation in which the duo discussed women’s rights, representation, and the importance of voting has been posted on the platform’s Instagram account.

The caption read ‘Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex and Gloria Steinem discuss representation, why each vote matters and how all women “are linked, not ranked.” MAKERS has an exclusive look at that historic backyard chat! Q&A to come tomorrow.’

The Duchess of Sussex dressed accordingly. For the occasion, Meghan Markle nailed empowerment dressing with the ultimate pinstripe power pant for your back to work wardrobe.

Meghan Markle wore pinstripe pants by Anine Bing. They are designer Anine Bing’s new wide-leg Ryan trousers which come in cream with a black pinstripe. She anchored the look with Stella McCartney’s Rhea sandals. The style features a low cone shaped heel, crosses the foot and ties neatly around the ankle to offer support.

Markle’s pants cost $249 and the shoes, originally $795, have been reduced to $477 in the sale.

“People forget how hard women like you and so many others before you fought for us to be where we are right now,” Markle told Steinem.

The 86 year-old activist answered: “If you don’t vote you don’t exist… it’s the only place we are all equal, in the voting booth.”

The outdoor backdrop for the film may have been the $14.7 million home that Markle and husband Prince Harry bought in Montecito in June to be their permanent base in the United States.
